Samsung has invented a smartphone with a retractable display

Samsung engineers have presented how a smartphone, the display of which extends in different directions, may look like. This is reported by the publication The TechOutlook.

Media journalists found a patent of the Korean corporation in the network. Judging by the images, the proposed Samsung phone has a square body and a retractable screen. The display can be extended in different directions – depending on the need.

In the description of the invention says that the mechanism of the retractable display consists of a flexible part and a hinge. The latter is designed in such a way that it allows the flexible panel to be pulled to either side and compensates for the spring effect.
