According to Lew, only her dogs and cats were with her during the difficult time. In her new will, the woman made a veterinary clinic the heir to whom she entrusted the care of her pets. She wanted to leave everything to the animals directly, but legally this is not possible. At the same time, experts from the Centre for Registration of Wills advised Lew to hire a person she trusted as an auditor for the clinic – to control the use of funds for the intended purpose.
Earlier it was reported that a court in China recognised as legitimate the will of a man who left all his assets to a caring fruit vendor. The will was challenged by the pensioner’s sisters, who lived with him in the house.
