To start sharing data with emergency services, you need to fill out a questionnaire in your smartphone settings. To do so, open the “Personal Safety” app, and then activate the “Access Emergency Information” switch. RapidSOS representatives clarified that the feature works on all Android smartphones, but may not be available in some regions.
In December 2022, Apple expanded support for the satellite-based Emergency SOS feature outside of North America. The option, which allows you to send messages to emergency services outside of cellular coverage, appeared in the UK, France, Germany and Ireland.
