Psychiatrist names the most dangerous age for mental health

The expert emphasised that the psyche is undermined by each new nervous shock. Therefore, the psychiatrist admitted, it is possible that an elderly person who had fewer traumatic events in life and “better” genetics, will be mentally more stable than a 30-year-old person with a difficult fate.

Earlier, psychiatrist Sarah Vohra warned that an unexpected consequence of divorce could be post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She said the psychological manifestations of this traumatic event can persist longer than some people expect and can lead to the development of clinical depression, anxiety and PTSD, manifesting as panic attacks and self-harm.
